Need a little help here, this bike is driving me nuts. When the bike is cold it runs/idles great. When it heats up it starts to miss, buck. I put in new points/condensors, coils, plugs ect and it still doesn't go away. I rebuilt and synched the carbs prior to this. I know it is electrical in nature because the fuel system is working flawless. Does anyone know where to go from here? I did time it using the static method not a light. Wonder if I received bad points? I'm lost and tired of replacing parts most likely not needing replacement. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks

that's the wierd thing. When it's cold, (and running for five/ten minutes on the road), nothing misses. After that it's either number one or two because I hear it on my left pipe. Once I hear that miss it gets progressively worse, loosing power, getting hesitant, slight jerking, and generally running like crap. I can still keep it a 60mph but it's working hard and popping like crazy. Let it cool and the cycle starts all over again. I have to believe it's electrical because when it happened again today I immediately put the synch gauges to it and nothing changed...fuel wise it's running exactly where it's supposed too. I replaced the obvious electrical components that I thought would cause it but...

little update: I think I found the problem. When doing the carb sync it just dawned on me that their is most likely a problem with my petcock. When taking gas out of the tank to put in the test tank I noticed that fuel was coming from both sides of the petcock then would stop from the side feeding the last two carbs. I will take that off today and see what's up. I'm hoping this is it.
